WHAT’S HAPPENING IN HYDE PARK THIS MONTH?

Hyde Park is one of the biggest and busiest parks in London, thanks to its great location and abundance of space. As well as being a wonderful destination for a relaxing stroll, a picnic or some outdoor reading, it’s also a popular venue in its own right and regularly plays host to a range of events, including a host of popular nature walks, concerts, a winter wonderland and marathon.

Walking Tour: Bat Walk

The Bat Walk Walking Tour takes walkers through Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park at night, in search of some of the area’s bat species. Guests can use bat detectors and take part in a fun quiz. Plus, there may even be owls and foxes to see. With the Grand Royale London Hyde Park so near, this walking tour shouldn’t be missed.

Discovery Day: Meadow Madness

Discovery Day is being held throughout the summer at Hyde Park and visitors can see what it’s all about on a variety of days in August. Between 11am and 3pm, families are invited to check out a number of free and exciting nature inspired activities such as visiting nature discovery rooms and sweep netting for insects. Plus, there’s a whole host of arts and crafts for children to enjoy.

Nature Explorers: Water World

Nature Explorers: Water World is being held at Hyde Park on 22nd of August, and it provides a fun few hours for children aged 8 to 11. Kids can enjoy a day of exploring nature, using microscopes and getting to grips with the wildlife that resides in Hyde Park. If you’re staying at any of our hotels near Hyde Park with children, this is a great activity to get them out and about.

Sunset Safari

Hyde Park’s Sunset Safari is all about campfires, sunsets and wildlife. Visitors can enjoy campfire snacks whilst learning about the nocturnal wildlife in the park. This event is ideal for the whole family and will be an enjoyable evening activity for those staying at the Grand Royale London Hyde Park.

Peter Pan Walking Tour

Those on the walking tour can follow in Peter Pan’s footsteps, experiencing the magic that inspired the Peter Pan stories. J.M. Barrie created the character of Peter Pan back in 1902 and since then he has become a firm favourite among children and adults. The Peter Pan Walking Tour explores different areas of the park and there are activities to get involved with along the way.
