Carabao Cup Final, Wembley Stadium

Last year’s thrilling Carabao Cup Final saw perennial winners Manchester United defeat Southampton after going behind. With this year’s final taking place on 25th Feb at Wembley Stadium, the question remains: who will take home the first major piece of silverware in the 2017/18 football season? With local teams Arsenal and Chelsea still in the draw, the trophy could be coming to London – but with both Manchester clubs, United and City, still in the running, there’s a chance the Carabao Cup could remain in the north for another year.

Six Nations – England vs Wales, Twickenham Stadium

On Saturday 10th February, England will take on Wales at Twickenham Stadium, the home of rugby, in the Six Nations tournament. England are the defending champions, and will feel confident going into the game – but Wales’ Red Dragons are passionate, and this rivalry always burns red hot. With Wales looking to get revenge for Elliot Daly’s last-minute winner last year in Cardiff, this is set to be one of the most exciting matches in years.

Chelsea vs Barcelona, Stamford Bridge

Guests at Hotel Grand Royale Hyde Park will be perfectly placed to enjoy this clash of champions. One of the best footballing teams in the world, Barcelona, will be making the trip to London as part of the next round of the Champions League. Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and the rest of the Barcelona superstars will be going up against Gary Cahill and Eden Hazard for a place in the last eight. Even if you’re not a Chelsea fan, don’t pass up on the opportunity to see what is sure to be some sumptuous football.

Legends of Darts Masters 2018

Taking place at Indigo at the O2 Arena, the Legends of Darts Masters event will welcome a wealth of famous names from the darts world, including Dennis ‘The Menace’ Priestley and Martin ‘Wolfe’ Adams. These former champions will take place in this fantastic exhibition darts event, with celebrity compere Johnny Vegas providing entertainment and laughs throughout.

Royal Artillery Gold Cup Day, Sandown Park

On the outskirts of South London, you’ll find the famous racecourse, Sandown Park. On Friday 16th February, the racecourse will play host to one of its oldest races: the Royal Artillery Gold Cup. All of the jockeys taking place in the race have served in the Royal Artillery or one of its recognised units, making this a totally unique race – and great for the neutral to watch. This race has been run at Sandown every season since 1921, so you’ll be watching a slice of history – and crossing your fingers that your bet makes it over the line.
