Why You Must Try Rail Holidays in London

Have you ever travelled alone? If your answer is yes, you are among those few people who have dared to head on a journey without any shoulders to lean on. It might sound a little sad to some people, but it is not. Travelling alone is the best gift you can give to yourself. It is a great way of discovering your hidden fears or talents or things about you that you never knew. When you are with someone on a trip, the challenges you face are cut in half because you have someone to share them with. when you travel with someone, you don’t entirely see the place you are visiting from your perspective, there is a little adulteration in it.

This is why it is so important to embark upon a journey alone, so you can face world and most of all you can face yourself, alone. My grandmother always told me that you should always give yourself and the destination time to discover each other. If you are rushing through cities, flying from one country to another, without giving ample of time, you are wasting your time. One great way of spending more time and exploring the real face of a place is by travelling through train.

Rail holidays are a popular means of spending leisure time in Europe. As you pass by different regions, you see unbelievable landscapes that you could never have seen from 30000 feet above the ground. What’s better is that you will have plenty of time to absorb the feel of the place, plus rail holidays are not that expensive. It is in fact the most preferred way of holidaying for single tourists.

From London, you can head to a number of amazing places. Edingburgh and Glasgow in Scotland are just 4 hours 30 minutes away from London. Liverpool and Cardiff in Wales are about 2 hours away. One of the most visited places in England and a UNESCO World Heritage Site Bath is 90 minutes away from London. The trains are very comfortable and have everything that you may need while on a journey and connectivity of these trains is pretty amazing too. I for one had a time of my life while on a rail holiday alone. If you haven’t done it already, you should definitely give it a try. After all, what’s life without a bit of adventure?
