A nine-day snowdrop extravaganza was held at London’s oldest botanic garden Chelsea Physic Garden during the mid-winter from 2nd February 2013 to 10th February 2013 where visitors could enjoy wandering through a wood that had 10,000 newly planted snowdrops covering it like a carpet and finally they got the opportunity to admire the diversity closely in the Snowdrop Theatre. Visitors also got the opportunity to buy winter-flowering plants and a selection of snowdrops from special nurseries at the venue. Chelsea Physic Garden is known for offering exciting programmes of events that include beekeeping and painting courses, lectures and guided walks through the garden.
At festivals such as the snowdrop extravaganza at Chelsea Physic Garden, you can experience some dazzling white magic that will brighten up the dreary February days when you take a walk through carpets of enchanting white snow drops. As we come out of winter, these early blooming flowers indicate the first signs of life and collectors vie with each other to collect them. These white snowdrops can also be viewed at other places such as Anglesey Abbey in Lode and Cambridge shire.
