Bayswater, in west London enjoys an enviable location close to Notting Hill, Hyde Park, Paddington and Little Venice. The area is popular among visitors from around the world, as it provides good access to many of central London’s visitor attractions, as well as to Heathrow Airport. There is also a wide range of hotels in Bayswater to suit all budgets, from bed and breakfast accommodation to five star luxury boutique hotels.

There are excellent shopping facilities in Bayswater, including Whiteleys shopping centre, which was once London’s first department store, and is now a mall containing stores including fashion and health and beauty outlets, restaurants and a cinema. Queensway has a variety of shops and restaurants, as does nearby Westbourne Grove.

Visitor attractions close to Bayswater include Hyde Park, Kensington Palace and Kensington Gardens, which are a short distance south of Bayswater, while Little Venice, Holland Park, Oxford Street, Portobello Road Market, Notting Hill are also close by.

Bayswater has excellent transport links – Paddington Station is the central London terminal for Heathrow Express trains, with services to the airport taking just 15 minutes, and the station also handles national rail services to the west of England and Wales. Tube stations in the area include Bayswater (District and Circle lines), Royal Oak (Hammersmith & City and Circle Lines) and Queensway (Central Line). Frequent buses link Bayswater to other parts of the capital.
